rustic bathroom decor diy

for the first project, we are going to need a piece of cardboard or foam. you must draw the silhouette of a fish or download an image from the internet you can make the fish of the size that you prefer. once you are finished, you can cut the silhouette with a knife or with scissors i decided to make a total of three fish. all of the same size from there, the first fish is going to be painted with my waverly chalk paint in agave color. i'm in love with this color for the second fish, i'm going to use dollar tree's contact paper that simulates wood, in the most clarity tone i just have to paste the contact paper and avoid that there are little bubbles of air in the fish then i just have to cut the rest of the contact paper. use a razor and for me, it is the easiest and safest way to cut the silhouette of the fish for the third fish, i'm going to use dollar tree's contact paper, but this time in a darker shade as we did in the previous fish, you should paste the contact paper, avoid air bubbles and then cut the edges

to avoid that the edges of cardboard that you have the fish look so ugly, with rope we are going to stick it all over the edge. i use hot glue, it's the fastest way to stick it on the three fish as you can see, i only covered one side of the fish with a contact paper because the other one is not going to be seen. you can line the two if you want with a drill i'm going to make a hole for all the fish in the mouth area from there, i'll pass a rope through the hole and tie several knots in the same rope this step is not totally necessary, but i feel that it gives a super nice decorative touch then with a single shower curtain ring i'm going to hit the rope around the entire hoop. you must cover the entire shower curtain ring with the rope now we must accommodate all the fish the way we want them to hang. i placed it higher than others. finally, we must tie the ropes that the fish have to the shower curtain ring with a knot

now you have a beautiful decorative fish hanging wall decor for the second project you will need a round mirror. i got this in the beauty area at dollar tree and i think it's perfect for this project we will use a paper, put it on top of the mirror, and with your fingers mark the round shape of the mirror on the paper then we will cut the paper and stick it with tape to the mirror. this will prevent the mirror from being painted so much. we are also going to need this burner cover set. the package brings two, but we're only going to be using the smaller size as you can see, if we place the mirror on top of the small burner cover, they create the perfect appearance of a porthole both pieces are going to be painted with spray paint in metallic silver color once they have dried, we can remove the paper from the mirror and with a razor, remove any paint that has the mirror. it's super easy to take out then, with black and dark brown paint, i'm going to start painting the entire edge of the burner cover with a brush

with a sponge i'm going to paint a bit more the edges of the burner cover but this time trying to create the appearance of having mold i'm also going to paint with my sponge on the top i will be doing the same, but now with my mirror, i will paint the edges of outside and inside if the mirror is painted is fine, with a wipe you can easily clean it then with hot glue i'm going to stick the mirror next to the burner cover. you must be very careful and verify that it is as focused as possible and then press so that they stick i got this military action set in dollar tree, and the binoculars seemed perfect to use as screws for my porthole from a single binocular i can remove 2 screws, so i separate them i'm going to cut the piece on one side that i'm super glued to what looks like a screw and the other side i'm going to cut it leaving more space ... it's hard to explain, but i hope you can understand what i do with the images

we're going to need a total of 3 screws, so buy another military action set then we must paint the screws with spray paint in metallic silver color with brown and black paint we will create the same effect of mold in our three pieces then we must locate where we want each piece that are at the same distance each and you can glue them with hot glue, e6000 glue or krazy glue for durability we're going to need some brads for our porthole. for this i will use paper clips and i will cut the pointed part you will need 9 of these paper clips and you must also paint them with black and brown paint once they are dry, you will start to stick them in your mirror porthole the porthole mirror is divided into three parts by the plastic screws that you hit, you must stick 3 paper clips on each side

this is how we will look like our mirror porthole, i absolutley love this diy my loves, until here the projects for today i hope you like my diy, they are perfect for this summer season remember that i have instagram and facebook, you can follow me on both social networks, i'll leave them on screen
