the vintage bedroom from stanley furniturewas born from a desire to create a bedroom pattern that could address smaller scale living.we wanted to create pieces that had less of a footprint in a bedroom, but still had plentyof drawer space so it was still very functional and very useful in today's home.so we took some design cues from northern italian case pieces and we married them witha little bit of arts and crafts in the pasadena school to create a series of cases and bedsthat were really unique in a different take on vintage design. each case is designed witha lot of different subtle elements that make it very architectural in its presence.just because we streamline the design overall, doesn't mean we skimped on design elements.so one of the things that i would like to
point out on each case is this beautiful breakfront motif. you'll see it has a projected center section, which gives it a little bitmore dimension. beautiful molding details around each drawer with several coves, andjack steps that go around each drawer frame. great solid brass hardware that's been handburnish and worn over time, to give it a real aged look. another one of those elements that,no two are ever gonna be the same so you really feel like you're getting a pieceof furniture that's truly unique to you. we've overlaid the tops with this beautiful borderinto the top itself, another little textural touch point that rewards people that pay closeattention to the furniture that they buy. and a beautiful drawer interior that has gota nice golden glow to it, so it's not a very
harsh feeling when you open each drawer. so,really, lots of design elements for those people that pay attention. the panel bed inthe vintage collection is beautiful panel bed that features a chippendale trellis patternoverlayed into the headboard itself, this is all laser cut for precision and then handlaid into the panel; so you'll feel that this raised pattern comes off the headboard.it's kind of a nice artisan technique that we've worked on. there's also lovely softnessaround that panel itself,so everything maintains that overall sensory touch that we wanna createwith beautiful pieces of furniture. so, a nice, soft roll around the panel itself. butgreat, unique design and shape into the headboard.
